The startup company Nyobolt, based in the United Kingdom, claims to have developed a commercially viable battery technology that enables electric vehicles to achieve a full charge in significantly less than ten minutes.

This week, the startup has put it into physical form, showcasing an electric sports car concept that it boasts can recover its full 155-mile range in just six minutes. This week also marks the beginning of the company’s second week of operations. This is equivalent to an additional 1,600 miles of range for each hour, which is more than double the amount of charging capacity offered by goods such as the Lucid Air.

The company Nyobolt announced in a press release that its batteries are “capable of rapid application and speedy scale-up.” The company anticipates beginning manufacturing in the year 2024. The startup claims that it has tested them for more than 2,000 cycles with no discernible loss in functionality, which is the benchmark that is often applied to new types.
