Suzuki Bike India reported a strong start to the fiscal year, selling a total of 88,731 units. In April 2023, the Japanese manufacturer’s Indian subsidiary reported a 23,3 percent year-over-year increase. In March 2023, Suzuki offered 73,069 units, representing a month-to-month increase of 21.4%. Kenichi Umeda, managing director of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., commented on the company’s overall profit performance, stating, “Suzuki Motorbike India continues to grow at a double-digit rate. In April of 2023, we experienced a significant year-over-year growth of 23.3%. This consistent revenue performance is the result of rising customer demand for Suzuki two-wheelers in India and international markets.” Suzuki Bike India offered 67,259 variants on the domestic market out of a total of 88,731. During the month of April 2023, exports totaled 21,472 units. Suzuki also reached the 7 million (70 lakh) unit production mark last month, beginning with 2006 production.
