Land Rover has released some intriguing information for off-road and luxury SUV fans. The Defender brand expands its lineup by integrating numerous new products. The new Defender 130 Outbound is introduced alongside the 492 horsepower Defender 130 V8 and a new exterior pack inspired by the vehicle’s heritage. Mark Cameroon, JLR’s Managing Director, stated, “Defender 130 Outbound is an incredibly desirable addition to the Defender family for our most adventurous customers who love to explore and require a larger cargo area with a 5-seat configuration. Its impressive design enhancements and spacious interior provide a persuasive balance of capability and utility. The 4×4 family offers something for everyone with the addition of the V8 engine to the Defender 130, while the new County Exterior Pack pays homage to Defender’s origins with a contemporary take on a classic design.” Land Rover has added an Outbound special edition to the Defender lineup. The limited-edition product is only available in the 130 with five seats. The luxury automaker has dubbed it “the greatest luxury explorer” due to its plush interior space and all-terrain drive capability. It increases the potential for overland exploration and enables those with an adventurous lifestyle to carry everything they need to go out and explore. The Defender 130 Outbound is available with the P400 gasoline and D300 diesel engine options. Both make use of moderate-hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) technology for optimal performance and efficiency. The Defender 130 Outbound has approximately 2,516 litres of cargo space with the second-row seats stowed down, and 1,332 litres with the middle row seats in use. Behind the next row, the flat cargo room flooring will expand to 1,267 square feet, which can easily accommodate camping kitbags and other equipment. This means that everything from jet skis and watercraft to caravans and trailers can be towed with ease by the Defender 130 Outbound. The air suspension makes hitching easier, with adjustments located within the tailboard to raise and lower the rear of the vehicle. With the addition of a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, the Defender 130 lineup is now complete, offering a compelling blend of fuel economy, cruising comfort, and capability. With 492 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque, it propels the 130 V8 from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 5.7 seconds (60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds). Its introduction signifies the availability of three engines at the top of the 8-seater lineup, including the six-cylinder, P400, and D300. Exterior colour options for the Defender V8 will be Carpathian Grey and Santorini Black. In addition to quad outboard-mounted exhausts, a sliding panoramic roof with a black contrast roof, ‘V8’ exterior badging, Matrix LED headlights with signature daytime running lights, darkened tail lights, privacy glass, and 22-inch satin dark grey alloy wheels, the exceptional list continues. In addition to a Meridian sound system, a head-up display, an interactive driver display, and cabin air purification, the interior of the Defender 130 V8 also includes four-zone climate control, heated third-row seats, and climate seating in the second row. The most recent enhancements to the Defender lineup showcased increased customization options for the Defender 110. The new ‘county exterior bundle’ is available for the S, SE, and HSE models of the 110 and includes exceptional exterior features. It obtains an illuminated treadplate with ‘County’ lettering on both the front and rear doorsills. To complement the exterior pack’s aesthetics, attractive 20-inch alloy wheels are available in two finishes, including white sheen. The colour combinations consist of a Fuji White body with new Tasman Blue accents on the roof, tailboard, decals and treadplate. Exact opts for the Santorini Black body colour with Tasman Blue roof and tailboard contrast highlights. The new feature, which integrates internal storage, enables a nearly level load house floor and ensures that no space is wasted while access to D-loops is managed. The new accessory is also available for existing Defender 90 and Defender 130 models. Access to the next row has been enhanced for the Defender 90 with the addition of a new parachute release handle, a speedy fold-and-slide row one passenger seat, and row two folding rear seats with centre armrests.
