Hyundai Motor India has updated its Alcazar SUV line-up with a new 1.5-litre turbo GDi petrol motor. The new engine is of class E20 and RDE compliant and will change the recent 2. MPI petrol engine on the Alcazar. The new turbo petrol motor will make 158 bhp of optimum electrical power at 5,500 rpm and 253 Nm of peak torque amongst 1,500 – 3,500 rpm. The motor will be paired to a 6-pace handbook gearbox and a 7-pace dual-clutch automatic. The new 1.5 Turbo GDi variant promises to be the segment’s most gas effective powertrain with the 7-velocity DCT model obtaining an effectiveness of 18 kmpl and the 6-speed guide possessing an effectiveness of 17.5 kmpl. Speaking on the announcement, Tarun Garg, Main Working Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., claimed, “As we carry on to redefine consumer experiences across our design vary, we are happy to introduce Hyundai ALCAZAR with a benchmark defining new turbo petrol motor that will meet aspirations of our most liked clients. Also, we have refined the style and design of Hyundai ALCAZAR as perfectly as introduced new technologies to amplify Grand Activities with this new age mobility answer. Even further, we are well aligned with the Government’s mission of cleaner mobility methods and the new 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol powertrain will be the two RDE compliant and E20 gasoline all set.” The Alcazar also receives a front grille that sees a moderate redesign and a new puddle lamp logo. Costs will be declared in the coming weeks. Hyundai will carry on to market the Alcazar with the 1.5-litre diesel CRDi motor that is now RDE compliant as well. It will make 114 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 250 Nm in between 1,500-2,750 rpm.
