Royal Enfield has unveiled the 2023 model year Continental GT and Interceptor 650, which include the highly anticipated switch to alloy wheels. The 2023 models also receive aesthetic changes in the form of new colours and details, as well as some new features. The aesthetic modifications include the addition of alloy wheels, fresh paint schemes, and a blacked-out engine and exhaust. Beginning with aesthetics, each and every motorbike now has black-finished alloy wheels and new colour alternatives – Barcelona Blue and Black Ray for the Interceptor and Apex Gray and Slipstream Blue for the Continental GT. The new colorways include new graphics for the petrol tanks of each motorcycle. The absence of chrome on each font constitutes a second notable aesthetic change. The engine block and exhaust are now finished in black as opposed to chrome/silver. The retro-inspired designs of each bike have been maintained, with the addition of new colorways that contribute to the nostalgic look. LED headlamps have replaced the older halogen ones on both bikes. Royal Enfield has introduced USB charging connections and changed switchgear to both of these motorcycles. Moreover, 2023 models receive a new LED headlamp and a USB charging connector. The company has not disclosed any changes to the 648cc parallel twin engine included in both motorcycles. Although now exclusively identified for overseas markets, we expect that the most recent 2023 trends will make their way to India in the near future. Ex-showroom, Delhi, prices for the current Interceptor 650 and Continental GT start at Rs 2.81 lakh and Rs 3.05 lakh (respectively) thus we anticipate a slight increase.
